Clearcutting Action Letter

Our forests are under attack from clearcutting axes that hack, hack, hack!

But with your help we can stop this frightful assault and bring the destruction to a grinding halt. Add your name to our petition, and let’s protect our forest’s from demolition.

Have you heard the story of the Lorax — the fuzzy, orange Dr. Seuss character who pops out of tree stumps to protect the forest from greedy axes?

Like the forests in that story, California’s forests and streams are under attack. We are calling for forest guardians LIKE YOU to fight back!

It’s time to make clearcutting a thing of the past — or our clean water, healthy climate, and valuable wildlife will not last!

We need 2,000 signatures on our petition to keep our forests in good condition. Sign our message to Governor Brown to keep the trees safe and sound!

Forest dwellers like the Sierra Nevada red fox, the California spotted owl, and salmon lose their homes when forests are destroyed by clearcutting. As Dr. Seuss warned, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it’s not.”

The fate of California’s forests is in your hands. Sign our petition and let Governor Brown know you care a whole awful lot!

Let’s make sure the lessons of the Lorax are followed now before it’s too late. California’s forests — and our future — are at stake.

Thanks for being a guardian of the forests and all the living creatures they sustain.
